Hilltop 2026 – Day 2
It’s been another action-packed second day here at Hilltop! All the year 6’s have really embraced the Hilltop moto of challenge by choice.
This morning, we went for our first breakfast where we had a mixed of cereal, toast and hot food. Afterwards, we got ready for our activities for the day. Group 1 were adventuring outside of Hilltop into the seaside town of Sheringham to embark on their journey walk. Our walk took us into the countryside, up some challenging hills, but despite the wet weather, the children persevered and kept going with the thoughts of ice cream in their heads. During this, group 2 were jumping from daring heights of the airbag and really faced their fears. After that, the group quickly turned their attention to the assault course, swinging their way over water, climbing on top of tyres and crawling under nets. Despite the early morning rain, this did not stop the children completing their activities with big smiles on their faces.
After a yummy lunch of pizza and salad, the groups swapped activities. Thankfully, the rain had eased for the afternoon during the activities, but waterproofs were a must! Then the children had some time to purchase some sweets and gifts from the tuck shop, it was great to their mathematical knowledge put to good use. For dinner, we enjoyed another delicious meal of pasta bolognese with ice cream for dessert (double ice cream day!) After eating, we ventured back outdoors for a game called Enchanted Forest. Some children opted for a quiet evening inside after another full-on day.
In the morning, we will be up bright and early for breakfast, packing and our final activity before our journey home!
