English at Our School

At our school, we believe that strong language and literacy skills empower children to understand the world around them and express themselves with confidence. Our English curriculum is designed to inspire a love of reading, nurture creativity in writing, and develop fluent, accurate communication skills.

Through rich, diverse, and high-quality texts, we open doors to new ideas, cultures, and experiences. We teach children to read with understanding, write with purpose, and speak with clarity.

Phonics provides the essential building blocks for early reading and writing, while carefully planned lessons ensure progression in vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension across all year groups.

We create a supportive, language-rich environment where every child is encouraged to explore their imagination, share their voice, and develop the skills they need for learning and life. Working in partnership with families, we aim to cultivate confident readers, articulate speakers, and enthusiastic writers who take pride in their achievements.
